I’ve seen the movie 3 times now. I’ve seen the criticism and don’t agree. I was mesmerized the whole movie. It was not necessary to delve excessively into Freddie’s sexuality. The movie was a celebration of Queens’ beginnings and the music. Freddie had a lonely life, always trying to be better. To be accepted. Really heartbreaking at times. The performances were outstanding. The Live Aide performance was spot on. The awards were well deserved. Bravo!
