This film is a cross between dusk till Dawn and the color purple. I even saw a bit of gladiator in it👀Magnificent! It had a lot of messages. How music is seen as a sin. How music is a portal to other worlds. How the Irish tragedy got overshadowed by the black tragedy. How white people bring vampirism into a black world and how blacks use that same method against them. A vampire movie set in the South. Michael B Jordan twice as good as he normally is due to being a twin. Ryan Coogler… masterful.

Loved it. I have never seen an Iranian movie. It was filmed during the Mansa Amini protest and made a really chilling backdrop for the drama taking place in the house. I think it was fascinating watching the girls dynamic with their father and the mom trying to keep the peace until the end when she had to make a choice. Definitely worth the subtitles.

Binge watched! Very different, never seen anything like it. Very honest, raw, insightful and introspective …very brave.💕

I grew up listening to her music and she was a big part of my childhood. Now that I am in my 50s, going back and listening to her music with a different ear I am astounded by how talented she was. She was so beautiful, and her songwriting, lyricism, and interpretation was just superb. There will never be another Donna Summer and I am so glad that she got the recognition she deserves with this documentary. God bless her children, and the revelation that her daughter had gone through the same thing she did really threw me for a loop. That took a lot of courage to reveal and I am humbled by her daughters vulnerability.

The most Thought provoking film I have seen in years even so being a cartoon. Easily Disneys best since the lion king
