I am a trekkie, so I really wanted to like this game, but it's just impossible. Of course I am not expecting state of the art graphics, this game is over 10 years old. I could even make do with less than great playability if the stories and characters would engage with me like the characters of the Star Trek series have. Honestly, I did only make it into the 4th mission, but the characters are just boring, these aren't people I'd ever want to have a drink with, let alone go explore the galaxy with. The playability of especially the away missions is just amazingly bad, you run from point to point to press one button to interact with an object or stand around and shoot at targets until either them or you drop, no covering, no nothing. The Star Trek universe would allow for one hell of a MMORPG game, but sadly this ain't it.
