This is the worst translation of all Bibles. Many places in the New Testament the name Jehovah has replaced the word "Lord." The NT was written in Greek and Jehovah is from the Hebrew. You cannot add the Hebrew Jehovah to the Greek text. John 1:1 teaches from many manuscripts that "the Word was God." The NWT changed that to "a god." This is a serious error. Note that the NWT states that this Bible was translated from the original biblical languages by the NWT committee. The Watch Tower refuses to give the names of the translators. They say this is so no one can be exalted or get any glory. That the glory belongs to God. The truth is they will not give the names of the translators because none of them qualify to translate from the original Hebrew and Greek. Some of the names of the translators were eventually discovered and only one of them had some basic knowledge of Greek. That person was Frederick Franz who attended two years of study at the a university in Cincinnati, Ohio. Truth be told, there were no scholars involved in the creation of the NWT. It was the Watch Tower's purpose to produce a Bible to fit their doctrinal beliefs. For many years they used the KJV Bible from Charles Russell to 1950 when the NT was released and later the entire Bible became available around 1961. The KJV contradicted many of their doctrines and thus they made their own Bible to fit their false doctrines.
