for those who donโt know, on march 26, geraldโs brother @ujo suffered from an unexpected AVM rupture that led to a life-threatening emergency surgery. the surgeons were only able to stop the bleeding that day. removing the AVM itself would have caused more damage, so they left it in to let him heal. since then, every doctor, nurse, and person who has walked into his room has called his recovery an absolute miracle. april 21, my birthday, was the day of his major surgery. the doctors rated it a 9/10 in difficulty with a real risk of another stroke on the table. it was heavy. but we were hopeful, and we spent the day at the hospital waiting, praying, getting updates every three hours. and every single call was better than the last. by hour 8, we got the call we had been waiting for. surgery complete. we walked in and he was already moving, already talking. ๐ฅน iโm sharing this because when i visited him a couple days ago, he kept asking me what i did for my birthday (his memory is still a
