Researchers report seeing more cases of heat stress, dehydration, and illness, while some herders say they've lost young camels during recent periods of extreme heat. Scientists say camels are remarkably well adapted to desert life, but prolonged temperatures above their normal comfort range can still affect their health. As heatwaves become more frequent and intense, experts warn that even these famously resilient animals are reaching their limits.
