Adrianne Curry says Victoria’s Secret gave Kylie Jenner an honor that should’ve gone to an established Angel when the 29-year-old made her runway debut in the $50 million Fantasy Bra at the brand’s October 18 show in Los Angeles. “That is for the top Victoria’s Secret angel. That is like winning homecoming queen,” Curry said during an October 19 YouTube livestream. “And they just give it to Jenner.” The America’s Next Top Model cycle 1 winner also told Jenner, “You’re not a f***ing model,” and called Victoria’s Secret “a joke.” Jenner became the first non-Angel to wear a Fantasy Bra, following names including Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima. The tradition began with Claudia Schiffer’s $1 million catalog piece in 1996; Elsa Hosk wore the last runway version, valued at $1 million, in 2018. Jacob & Co. made Jenner’s version with 4,410 natural diamonds, including a 75.54-carat yellow diamond. Its $50 million valuation puts it about $35 million above the previous record. Fo

Julia Stiles danced to “Can't Take My Eyes Off You” on Dedication Night, the Frankie Valli song Heath Ledger's Patrick serenades her character with in 1999's 10 Things I Hate About You. She wore a blue dress like the one from the film and a 90s-style updo for the contemporary routine with pro partner Ezra Sosa on the October 20 episode of Dancing With the Stars. In a clip played before the October 20, 2026 performance, Stiles said, “I learned a lot from Heath. He was so authentic.” Remembering their work together, she added, “I have so many great memories, but I'm also sad because I really wish that I could pick up the phone and be like, ‘Hey, dude. People really care about that movie. We did something special.’” The film was a breakout for both actors. Stiles, who was 17–18 during filming and is now 45, said her reaction to Ledger's charm on set was genuine: “It was so easy with him.” She described how he “brought out the light in everybody… he was the leader of the pack… made every

Robert Plant was 29 and in New Orleans with Led Zeppelin when his five-year-old son Karac died back home in the English Midlands on July 26, 1977, from a sudden stomach infection. In a new interview with The Sunday Times, he explains what that did to his bond with the band he fronted. "There was no map, no instructions to Led Zeppelin, and we just carried on," Plant said. "But I didn't need the group after losing my boy. These musical romances are great when everything is great. When things go left of centre, who wants to sit backstage for hours and hours with people you've been stuck with since 1968?" The band was on its 1977 North American tour promoting Presence when the call came. Plant flew home. Every remaining date was cancelled, and Led Zeppelin never toured America again. Plant credits drummer John Bonham, his friend since they were teenagers, with pulling him back. Bonham attended Karac's funeral. Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones did not. "I lost my boy. I didn't want to be

Four of Katseye's six members walked the runway at the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on October 18 in Los Angeles, performing "Pinky Up" and "Animal" in matching pop-punk corsets and miniskirts before closing by walking the show themselves. The four who took the stage were Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeong. The group didn't start as a team. Katseye was assembled on HYBE and Geffen's competition series The Debut: Dream Academy, chosen from more than 120,000 applicants and a final pool of 20 contestants through three elimination missions, fan votes and a live vote in Los Angeles on November 17, 2023. Allure described the turn the contestants took overnight, "from being a team to being each other's fiercest competition." The members have spoken about how little outsiders see of that. Speaking about the Netflix series Pop Star Academy: Katseye, Lara Raj said, "You don't even know a percentage of it." Back in June, Sophia Laforteza told Allure, "We're no

A woman who has to keep reminding her husband about a chore is also carrying the job of making sure it happens. In an Instagram post, Adam Cam argues that calling her a “nag” makes her frustration the focus while his unfinished responsibilities slip out of view. “It's not necessarily the household chores themselves that exhaust her. It's having to be the person who notices what needs doing, remembers everything, and then makes sure it actually gets done,” Cam writes. He describes a pattern in which a partner takes on more of the household management as the other leaves more responsibility to her. Her repeated requests become another task, and her eventual frustration becomes grounds for criticizing her. Research on household mental labor gives that argument some context. In a study of 322 mothers in heterosexual households with young children, mothers reported carrying about 73 percent of the cognitive labor, compared with 64 percent of the physical chores. Their partners weren't su

Spending 8 hours a day on a phone would add up to 19 years between ages 18 and 75. That's the arithmetic behind a claim Nicholas Stumphauzer, founder of the phone-lock company SHIFT, made while talking with Pints with Aquinas host Matthew Fradd. But Stumphauzer actually cited 8.5 hours a day. Kept up across those 57 years, that would total about 20.2 years. His 19-year figure works at 8 hours a day, and either calculation assumes the same daily use throughout adulthood. There's also a distinction between phone use and total screen time. Common Sense Media's 2021 census found that US teens ages 13 to 18 averaged 8 hours and 39 minutes of daily entertainment screen media. That covered multiple types of screens, with some overlapping use. It wasn't a measure of adults spending that long on their phones throughout their lives. Stumphauzer's broader argument was that scrolling becomes harder to give up when you haven't built a life you want to return to. That's his interpretation. The l

Getting roasted by one of the greats. 😂 Martin Short's roast of Conan O'Brien spans years of appearances, with comparisons ranging from “a ginger crash test dummy” to “the human embodiment of Utah.” The Team Coco compilation brings together insults delivered across multiple visits. The crash-test-dummy line came on May 6, 2019. During his June 15, 2021 visit, Short told O'Brien, “you look like someone freeze-dried Prince Harry,” and called him “the human embodiment of Utah.” That appearance was Short's 26th with O'Brien, a run stretching back to his NBC show. Other entries in Short's catalog: “a coloring book that has not yet been colored” and “a number two pencil,” the latter explained by O'Brien's “yellow skin and your red hair.” When they revisited the insults on O'Brien's podcast in 2023, Short's explanation was simple: “I said it with love.”

Two animals struck. That's the toll on a stretch of I-25 between Larkspur and Monument over the roughly 10 months since the Greenland Wildlife Overpass opened — a 91% drop, according to state wildlife and transportation officials. That same corridor was once far more dangerous. Between 2013 and 2017, it averaged 32.2 reported wildlife-vehicle crashes per year. Over about four and a half years, nearly 200 animals were hit there: 119 deer, 18 black bears, 10 mountain lions, and one moose. Opened in December 2025, the overpass is a soil-and-grass deck 200 feet wide and 209 feet long, spanning six lanes that handle more than 100,000 vehicles daily. The project cost $15 million, supported by a $22 million federal grant, links roughly 39,000 acres, and CDOT considers it the largest wildlife bridge structure in North America. Five underpasses already existed nearby, but elk and pronghorn avoid tunnels, which is why the overpass was added. Chuck Attardo, CDOT's environmental manager for the

When Anok Yai opened Prada's women's show in February 2018, she became only the second Black model to do it, after Naomi Campbell. Four months earlier she had been a 19-year-old biochemistry student at Plymouth State University with about 300 Instagram followers. She grew up in New Hampshire after being born in Cairo in 1997 to South Sudanese parents and coming to the U.S. at three. "I was called 'gorilla' and 'Tarzan,'" she told Glamour UK in June 2026. Whatever they called her didn't matter, her father told her, because she was smart. The turn came at Howard's homecoming in October 2017, which she didn't even go there for. "I just went to the Homecoming looking for cute guys," she told British Vogue, and she "didn't even want to go," she told Vanity Fair. Photographer Steve Hall shot her at the end of Yardfest and posted the picture the next morning. Within about a week her following jumped from roughly 300 to 50,000. She said the photo made her look like a "deer in headlights."

Cabo, Mexico, is the latest stop for Mossimo Giannulli, who touched down there with Los Angeles-based stylist Hannah Harrison as speculation about their relationship keeps building. The trip comes while his divorce from Lori Loughlin moves through the courts: on Oct. 15, the 63-year-old fashion designer filed his response to Loughlin's petition, with irreconcilable differences listed as the reason. Harrison has kept things professional, at least publicly. After the two were photographed at the G/FORE Supply store in Beverly Hills on Oct. 2, 2025, she explained that Giannulli was simply introducing her to staff so she could pull clothes for styling purposes. "We did not drive together. We drove separately," she said at the time. Since then, cameras have caught them together more than once. They were reported arriving at Zouk nightclub in West Hollywood in November 2025, then sharing a drink at Lynx Coffee in Los Angeles in February 2026. The Cabo trip is only the latest entry on that

Ben Affleck's answer when Bruce Willis urged him to lower his voice was a practical question: “Bruce, that's just my voice. Can I change that?” Recalling the exchange on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Affleck said his Armageddon costar had told him, “Your voice is too high.” When Affleck questioned him, Willis doubled down: “Don't have that high voice.” The 2 actors appeared together in the 1998 disaster movie, and Affleck remembered Willis's advice with affection. “I love Bruce, and he really was giving me a tip,” he said. Willis also tried to steer him away from another 1998 film, Shakespeare in Love. Affleck recalled him saying, “Man, don't go do that Shakespeare movie, man. You don't wanna do that movie.” Affleck took the role anyway. Shakespeare in Love went on to win 7 Oscars. As Affleck acknowledged, Willis “hadn't read the script, in all fairness.”

Tom Hardy was explaining how he plays 2 characters in conversation with each other when he described himself as being “on spectrum” at New York Comic Con in October 2024. Playing Eddie Brock and voicing Venom meant working with an earpiece that fed him Venom’s prerecorded dialogue. Director Kelly Marcel and Patrick Anderson could also speak to him through it. “I can get really geeky about this process, but I just sound like I'm on the spectrum… because I am,” Hardy said, laughing as the audience cheered. The aside came during a discussion of his acting technique for Venom: The Last Dance.

Kate Tolo is tracking vaginal blood flow during sleep with a probe that Bryan Johnson says costs $15,723.68, part of a project he says follows 1,900 biomarkers across her menstrual cycle. Johnson, her partner and the entrepreneur behind the longevity company Blueprint, posted on October 9: “I am measuring my girlfriend's erections.” He described a 5 cm probe with a light sensor. Tolo said it uses “the same kind smartwatches use to read your heart rate.” The setup records to a laptop, and she warned that if it falls asleep, “we lose the data.” That project prompted Anna, who posts as @ArguablyAnna, to write the tweet quoted above. Her suggestion that this could be among the only funded research on the female reproductive system in decades or centuries overstates the gap. Research on this measurement alone goes back decades: a 1979 study recorded vaginal blood-flow changes during REM sleep in 8 women, and a 1985 study also documented changes linked to sleep stages. Dyna Mitte says her son RJ had been talking with a therapist and sharing his personal struggles with people close to him before his death by suicide at 34. She'd encouraged him to seek professional help after conversations with family, friends and his team raised concerns. The Breaking Bad actor's mother said he'd spoken with her, his sister, other relatives and members of his team. Even with those conversations, she said, his death earlier this month came as a shock. “There were concerns. That’s why I encouraged him to talk to a counsellor,” Dyna said. “I told him to talk to a therapist and share his feelings and how he saw things.” She also challenged speculation that career setbacks or financial problems explained his death. According to Dyna, 3 of RJ's films had come out this year, 2 more were awaiting release, and he'd signed agreements for several future films. A book was also on the way, and he was working on starting a food truck. “He had a lot going on,” she said. Dyna sa

SNL UK's Ania Magliano aimed an intentional, uncensored insult at Shane Gillis on the October 17 Weekend Update, a week after his accidental F-bomb on the American show. The anchor had already taken aim at his monologue about women's gym clothes. She said the shorts “protect women from being up-skirted” but leave them “vulnerable to something much worse,” with Gillis's monologue photo accompanying the joke. Then she turned to his live-TV slip, scolding him for swearing before calling him a “stupid f*****g c*nt.” The stronger language aired live, as intended. Gillis's accident happened during the October 10 “Green Eggs and Ham” sketch. After saying “fucking,” he covered his mouth and exclaimed, “Jeez!” Mikey Day, staying in character, called him “a loser” who “said a bad word.” Gillis said “sorry about earlier” as the sketch ended and apologized again at the curtain call. Those apologies concerned the swear. His separate monologue about women dressing “like whores” at the gym had al

Inde Navarrette calls herself “the laziest person,” but playing Rogue in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men movie has the 25-year-old looking forward to the physical work that comes with an action role. “I think it's also a really good excuse to get in the gym! I'm the laziest person, and I am very excited to get up and moving with my body,” she said. The Obsession actress grew up loving the X-Men films and Anna Paquin’s performance as Rogue. Paquin played the character in the Fox franchise between 2000 and 2014. “I am just so excited to be a part of that world, and it's an honour to play Rogue! I'm a really big fan,” Navarrette said. For her own version of Rogue, also known as Anna Marie, Navarrette says she wants to respect the Marvel writers’ work while bringing something of herself to the character. Jake Schreier is directing the film. Her castmates include Kit Connor as Cyclops, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Christopher Abbott as Professor Xavier, Adam Driver as

Bernie Sanders stood alone in a 1-99 Senate vote over his plan to lower Medicare drug prices on August 6, 2022. He wanted Medicare to pay no more than the lower of 2 federal pricing benchmarks: Veterans Affairs prices or Federal Supply Schedule prices. Sanders said his proposal would halve Medicare drug prices within months and save $900 billion over 10 years. He called the Inflation Reduction Act's own drug-negotiation provisions “rather weak.” Those provisions scheduled negotiations to start with 10 drugs in 2026, expanding to 20 in 2029. The 1-99 vote was on whether to waive a budget rule so his amendment could proceed. After the waiver failed, the amendment was ruled out of order. Every Republican, every Democrat and fellow independent Angus King voted against the waiver. Jeff Merkley, who'd cosponsored the amendment, also voted no. Democrats were protecting the fragile 50-vote coalition behind the larger bill. They opposed amendments they supported because changes could unrave

ylie Jenner closed Victoria’s Secret’s October 18 Fashion Show in a $50 million Fantasy Bra, more than three times the value of any previous version. At 29, she’s the first non-Angel to wear one, and she did it in her runway debut. Designed and made by Jacob & Co., the piece centers on a 75.54-carat radiant-cut Fancy Vivid yellow diamond worth roughly $22 million on its own. Surrounding it are 4,410 natural diamonds, bringing the total to about 1,373 carats. Fifteen artisans spent more than 1,000 hours making it. The bra weighs just under 4 pounds, incorporates Jacob & Co.’s proprietary Angel-Cut diamonds, and has no fabric base. It’s built to move like lingerie. Jenner completed the look with a crystal thong, clear heels, a sheer miniskirt, and large white feather wings. Chief Creative Officer Adam Selman linked Jenner’s selection to her cultural reach and his “fandomonium” concept. The Fantasy Bra began as a catalog spectacle in 1996, when Claudia Schiffer wore the $1 million Mil

Barbara Palvin walked the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway in Los Angeles on Oct. 18, roughly six weeks after giving birth to her daughter Sylvie around Labor Day, Sept. 7. Backstage, the model treated the timing as unremarkable: "Maternity leave is typically six to eight weeks, so I'm just doing what everyone is doing. And I only need to walk down a runway!" Her husband, actor Dylan Sprouse, filmed and cheered from the front row. What that return actually says about recovery is narrower than the praise around it. Palvin described her own experience: her body "bounced back, luckily, really quickly," which she credited to organic food during pregnancy, eating well while breastfeeding, light exercise and letting her body heal naturally, "nothing crazy." She practiced her walk the night before the show. That account covers one person under one set of circumstances. The context stretches back through the brand. Heidi Klum returned at eight weeks and five weeks after earlier births;

Travis Kelce finally addressed the moment that went viral last month, when Taylor Swift pointed to her wedding ring and shouted "That's my husband!" after he scored his first touchdown of the season against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 20. "Just doing my deed as a husband," Kelce said on his "New Heights" podcast. "Listen man, proud wife, baby. Gotta make my girl proud." Swift, 36, was back in her suite at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 18, watching the Chiefs take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Kansas City. She clapped, snapped her fingers and busted out a little shimmy while cheering, her wedding band and old mine-cut engagement ring by Kindred Lubeck on full display. She wore a Louis Vuitton red turtleneck bodysuit with her signature red lip. She watched alongside family and friends, including Kelce's mom, Donna Kelce, Caitlin Clark and Este Haim, and greeted her mother-in-law with a big hug. The game marked the Chiefs' return from their Week 5 bye and Swift's third appeara
