The advertisement falsely tells consumers that I am appearing at, affiliated with, connected to, or endorsing the event. After receiving a cease-and-desist letter, the venue changed its flyer and removed every performer’s name to prevent further trademark infringement, as seen in this advertising. Major legal win for Lexi Love®: a federal court ruled that Paramount and World of Wonder’s use of “Lexi Love” for RuPaul’s Drag Race performer Barnes constitutes trademark use. The ruling strengthens my pending preliminary injunction appeal. If I win on appeal, Barnes, Paramount, and World of Wonder could be ordered to stop using “Lexi Love” while the case continues. Depending on the scope of the injunction, that relief could require the removal, alteration, or restriction of content and promotional materials using my trademark, including RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17, Murder in Glitter Ball City, and other productions or materials featuring my name.
