As a gay Arab man, this Pride Month, I’m raising my flag high and unapologetically. I don’t have to be masculine to be Arab, feminine to be gay, perfect to be loved, or digestible enough to be accepted. I refuse the labels, boxes, and roles that make people like me disappear. #pridemonth #arabpride #pride #queerarab #arab

As a gay Arab in Berlin, I am heartbroken by what happened at Berlin Pride. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy, and to the queer community in Berlin and around the world. We deserve safety. We deserve stronger protection. Believe in whatever makes you kinder, stronger, and more whole. Faith is your right. Taking away somebody else’s rights is not. #CSDBerlin #BerlinPride #QueerSafety #GayArab

I'm Arab and gay and this upsets a lot of people. I share my stories because this is still the reality so many queer people live in. My heart is clean. My intentions are clear. And I won’t stop naming the things everyone else avoids.
