Yep, we all missed an opportunity... I was in the middle of working out yesterday evening and I almost dropped dumbbells on my face after realizing this... We all missed a huge opportunity to understand clicks and CTR from AIOs and AI mode with the recent GSC bug in the Gen AI reporting. I shared that it wasn't just the Gen AI reporting, but the Performance reporting dropped as well (just not as much). That's because the Performance reporting includes AIO and AI Mode data. So if the Gen AI reporting was lagging, then the Performance reporting was also lagging for Gen AI experiences. So the drop in the Performance reporting was AIO and AI Mode data! Since the drop in clicks in the Performance reporting was from AIOs and AI Mode, then we could take the impressions from the Gen AI reporting and just a simple math calculation would give you CTR from Gen AI experiences. ChatGPT isn't showing Reddit at all!!! Wait, there they are. :) So I don't know... I need to dig deeper here, but there doesn't seem to be any technical block from what I'm seeing. And, they are showing for searches (like below).

FYI, two days are missing from the Crawl Stats reporting in GSC. August 15 and 16 are missing now. Just blank spaces remain. :) I'll ping Google about it now.

And if Discover is important for your business, another part of the announcement focused on tailoring your feed. I've had this forever so not sure why it's being announced as new. Anyway, here's the info. From Google: "In the coming days in the Google app, you’ll be able to tap any three-dot menu in your feed to tell Google the exact topics or links you want to see more (or less) of, in your words. Your feed will adjust on the fly, and remember your requests. Reminder, Reddit has been providing a blanket disallow in robots.txt for a very long time (but that's just for anyone randomly checking). I covered this a few years ago actually. You have to check via the rich results tool to see what it's really providing Google. See a random check first below, then the rich results tool second. So no, Reddit is not blocking all crawling with a blanket disallow. They are only providing the right robots.txt file to specific crawlers.
