One of the biggest mistakes I see people make with social media is thinking that posting something once means everybody saw it.
They didnโt.
Between algorithms, timelines, people being busy, and the endless flood of content, only a fraction of your audience ever sees any given post.
Thatโs why I laugh when someone says, โOh, I already posted about that.โ
Cool. Post about it again.
And again.
And again.
And then again.
Even if someone did see it, thereโs plenty of research showing people need multiple exposures before they remember something, trust it, internalize it, or take action on it. Years ago people talked about 7-8 touchpoints. My guess is that number is even higher today.
โBut Dave, people will get tired of hearing it.โ
A few might.
Most wonโt.
For every person saying, โYou already talked about that,โ there are dozens seeing it for the very first time.
And if youโre sharing something important, hereโs my favorite question:
โOkay, youโve seen itโฆ but are you doing
