I've met two so many great people on X this year. And as I've said to all of you - I'm genuinely grateful. Remember I said you can just reach out to people on X and start working together or doing joint Go-to-market stuff or build a solution or a company? Or just support each other. Just sharing. Funny that this domain . com / folder name / filename/ and domain . com / folder name / folder name / filename/ Never changed but everyone else keeps demanding that everything in Google keeps changing. A patent for Information Gain - which is super useful from blocking competitors for synthesis or at least protecting your own.... Gets asbribed to the crawler making a dizzying array of decisions when it finds a page. It will index a blank page but not a page with 200 bullet points because .... it looked at all the other pages it has and they have the same points even though most of them have 20? That makes no sense. But if you weally, weally want it to. Then it becomes an exercise of hiding the ball under the cup and moving the cup in circles..... All because we want to believe its important and happens. but Google will index a blank page. We can say "blank" and thin dont mean word count. But ....

Some spin offs from the EEAT madness that I was expecting but fearful of, nonetheless: 1) Now all writers must be experts Wow, Content SEOs - that back fired miserably 2) Information gain is a pre-requisite We can't accuse marketeers of using a single lens to view all content. How will Wikipedia ever rank again 3) AI can't beat information gain It can just detect it I guess..... Little box that I walked in, I can't get out, just stepping into smaller dimensions of my own creation. oh, stop - I want to get out - I'll keep walking - there must be a door I can create in my little box that I walked myself into.

An LLMs only access to an event or an observation or a summary or a strategy or an "anything" ... ....is whether a human wrote about it.... and whether other humans challenge it or agree with it. An LLM cannot see beyond the paper (or blog or X post or comment) its reading. For LLMs to "know" and understand - it would need that ability. That ability doesnt exist. cc @Hobo_Web @edwardeachday @NickLeRoy
