If I had to make my first $1,000 with AI again, here’s what I’d do: 1. Pick a problem a business already pays to solve. Answering customer questions. Following up with enquiries. Moving information between systems. Mine was chatbots. Follow a tutorial, build a working example and test it before offering it to a business. 2. Find people asking for that exact thing. I used Upwork, where businesses post work they need done. Search for the problem you solve. Look for a clear problem, a real budget and work you understand well enough to deliver. 3. Show them how you’d help. Record a short video with their request on screen. Explain the problem, how you’d fix it and show a relevant example. “Here’s how I’d stop these enquiries getting missed” says more than “I build AI solutions.” End by asking whether they want to discuss it on a call. 4. Ask useful questions on the call. “What happens today?” “Where does it break?” “How much time does that take?” “What would a good result look like
