That moment everyone stops talking and just stares. 🐊👀 Seeing a 10-foot American alligator in the wild puts the Florida Everglades into perspective. You’re a visitor in a place where an animal this impressive belongs. Those eyes and nostrils sit high on its head, allowing it to see and breathe while most of its body stays underwater. And that powerful tail? It helps propel an animal that can look almost motionless one second and move with incredible force the next. Alligators also help shape the Everglades. The depressions they maintain—called alligator holes—can hold water during dry periods, providing refuge for fish, turtles, and other wildlife. 🌾 Watching our guests go from wide-eyed disbelief to curiosity is one of my favorite parts of sharing this place. Fear turns into questions. Questions turn into appreciation. That’s where caring about wild Florida begins. Always give wild alligators space. Never feed, touch, or crowd them—an unforgettable encounter starts with respect.

The world only has one. The jewel of the United States, right here in Florida. 🌎🌾 The Everglades. Our home. And a place we can never replace. From above, this tree head looks like an island in an endless green ocean. Around it stretches the sawgrass prairie, a wetland that holds water much of the year, with freshwater slowly making its way through the River of Grass. That “grass” is actually a sedge, named for the tiny, sharp teeth along its blades. The tree islands scattered across this landscape provide pockets of shelter for wildlife among the open marsh. There’s life in every direction, even when all you see is grass. Growing up here, you learn that the beauty goes far beyond a sunset. It’s the water, the wildlife, the quiet, and the feeling that a piece of wild Florida still exists. Share this with someone who needs to see why it’s worth protecting. 💚 #Everglades #RiverOfGrass #WildFlorida #ProtectTheEverglades #OldFlorida

tell me i’m not the only one who feels like we’re living in a fever dream sometimes 😭🌎 i just want clean water, wild Florida, local mom and pop shops, public lands that stay public, and the ability to go outside without worrying about creepy men. why does wanting to protect the things that make life beautiful feel so controversial? maybe i’m just a girl who asks too many questions. or maybe we should all be asking more. 💗🐊 what would you add to this list? #Conservation #Wildflorida #ShopLocal #ProtectPublicLands #florida

Florida is already built. 🌎💚 So why are we sacrificing what’s left wild? I want libraries, not more data centers. Protected public lands, not sell offs. Transparency, not backroom deals. Responsible growth, not rubber-stamped development. Wildlife can’t vote, but you can. 🐊💚 And if your vote didn’t matter, why would anyone work so hard to convince you it doesn’t? Not voting isn’t a protest. Show up. Speak up. Protect what’s left. Florida is home. Let’s start acting like it. Share this with someone who wants to keep Florida wild. 🌎💗 #wildflorida #FloridaConservation #ProtectPublicLands #FloridaWildlife #datacenter

They came to see the alligators. But this is the part I hope they remember. 💚 Baby American alligators swimming alongside a big Florida softshell turtle in a gator hole, somewhere in the middle of the Everglades. A father, a son, and a mom getting to watch that little world together. No big production. Just wild Florida giving them a moment they couldn’t have planned. I take families out here every day, and watching them connect with this place never gets old. They start noticing the little things. Asking questions. Sharing that excitement with each other. And I get to watch them discover why this place means so much to me. The Everglades raised me. Sharing it is how I help people understand why it’s worth protecting. One day, that son might bring his own family here and say, “My dad brought me out here when I was younger.” I hope there are still baby alligators in that hole. Still wild places to explore. Still a chance to make that memory again, from the other side. Protect the

The older I get, the more I realize how rich this place has made me. Running a trail through the sawgrass. Slowing down to watch a mama gator and her babies. Staying out a little longer because you just can’t pull yourself away from that sunset. The Everglades raised me. It gave me a childhood, a way of life, and something I get to share with my son. And after all these years, I still have moments out here where I stop and think… I can’t believe this is home. I want him to bring his kids down these same trails someday. To watch those little alligators swim back to their mama. To sit under a sky like this and understand why we cared so much. That future is worth protecting. There’s still so much here to love. Please don’t let us love it only after we’ve lost it. 🌾🐊 Share this with someone who feels the same about wild Florida. #Everglades #ProtectTheEverglades #OldFlorida #FloridaWildlife #WildFlorida

🚨 FOUND DOG NEAR SHARK VALLEY — DOES ANYONE RECOGNIZE THIS PUP? 🐾 Local python contractor @dragonflyheart369 found this dog near Shark Valley in the Everglades today, October 11. We’re trying to find the owner and help get this pup home. ❤️ Looks like this could be a hunting dog, so we’re asking our local hunters, airboaters, gladesmen, and everyone around South Florida to help spread the word. Someone could be searching for their best friend. 👉 If this is your dog or you know the owner, please DM me or @dragonflyheart369. Send a photo or identifying details to help us confirm a match. Please share this to your story, send it to someone who might recognize this dog, and tag local lost-pet pages below. Your share could be the one that gets this pup home. 🙏🐾 #FoundDog #LostDog #MiamiLostDogs #LostDogsOfFlorida #SharkValley Everglades MiamiDade SouthFlorida LostAndFoundPets BringThemHome

You ever see something so beautiful it makes you scared to lose it? The sawgrass opens up, the sunset stretches across the water, and for a minute, everything weighing on you feels a little smaller. I grew up out here, and this place still makes me stop and take it all in. That feeling of being exactly where you’re supposed to be. Home. This is the Florida I want my son to grow up knowing. Somewhere he can go when the world gets too loud. Somewhere that still makes him feel like this. One day, we’ll be the ones telling stories about how Florida used to be. I hope we can still take our kids out here and show them. Protect what we have left. There’s still so much worth holding on to. Send this to someone who knows exactly what this feels like. #Everglades #SaveTheEverglades #OldFlorida #AirboatAdventures #VisitFlorida

This is the FloridaThis is the Florida we’re fighting to protect. From the American alligators and wading birds to the turtles, deer, and countless native species that call the Everglades home, every one of them has a place in this ecosystem. For generations, these wild lands have been our backyard, our playground, and our home. Now we’re watching the Florida we grew up loving change right before our eyes. At Airboat Adventures Everglades, we’re blessed to spend our days surrounded by incredible native wildlife, sharing the real Florida Everglades with people from around the world. But it’s about more than airboat tours and beautiful scenery. It’s about protecting a way of life and an ecosystem that can’t simply be replaced. One day, our children will inherit what’s left. What kind of Florida are we leaving them? 🌾 Protect the Everglades. This is the part of Florida they leave out of the brochures. 💀 One attendee at our annual Iguana Roast decided to eat RAW IGUANA TESTICLES. Not as a joke. Not just for the camera with a last-second spit-out… He actually swallows them. 😭 We put together an event. This man put together a story his friends will NEVER let him forget. 😂 Who in your friend group needs this much supervision at a cookout? 👇 ⚠️ Not a challenge. Don’t copy this or eat raw wildlife. To the people I get to share this life with—this one’s for you. 🤍 The wild places, the animals we get to work with, the laughs you never hear in these videos. What looks like a few clips on a screen is a life I’m genuinely thankful to be living. And it wouldn’t feel the same without the people beside me. #Everglades #WildFlorida #WildlifeLovers #ProtectTheEverglades #GratefulForThisLife

I was not prepared to get emotionally attached to something that thinks my finger is a tree. 🥹🦎 Look at those little grabby hands! Chameleons have five toes on each foot, grouped into two opposing bundles for gripping branches. Apparently, I qualify as a branch. 😂 Their eyes can move independently, letting them look in two directions at once. One eye exploring… the other giving me the smallest side-eye I’ve ever received. 👀 And the wild part? Baby chameleons start hunting insects within days of hatching or being born, without a parent teaching them. This little thing is already figuring out life, and I’m over here losing my mind over its feet. 😭💚 Send this to someone who needs to meet a fingertip-sized dragon today. 🥹 #BabyChameleon #FloridaChameleon #TinyAnimals #WildlifeReels #Wildcaught

This isn’t just somewhere we take pictures. This is home. The place that raised us. And it hurts watching so much of what we love about it dry up and disappear. We miss the Florida that felt a little slower, a little quieter, and a whole lot wilder. Before every empty piece of land was treated like something that needed fixing. We love where we’re from. That doesn’t mean we love what it’s becoming. Not everything needs to be cleared, paved, or put up for sale. Some places deserve to stay the way they are—not just for those of us who remember, but for the kids who haven’t gotten to know them yet. Protect what we have left. We want our kids to know this feeling, not just hear our stories. @airboat_adventures_everglades × @oldfloridavibes #OldFlorida #Everglades #KeepFloridaWild #ProtectTheEverglades #RealFlorida
