I love the Star Trek series and watch the old ones over and over so I was happy when this show came out. I must say though the writers are not doing a great job to live up to the original creator of the series. The last show was just stupid. Writing a story that a character cried so much that he caused the Burn is just stupid. There is no way anything like that could ever happen from crying. It was a stupid ending for the season and made no sense to have a build up to this point and then to come up with such nonsense. I also think that the red head character Ensign Tuly should be written off the show. She is such an idiot to allow the ship to be taken over. She does stupid things all the time and should not have the focus in the show they give to her. Putting someone who is an ensign as second in command would never happen in the older series. She is a weak character and needs to be killed off the show. At a minimum the writers should give less focus to this character since there are many others that would be a better focus. The end of season three they take the oxygen away from most of the crew but suddenly they are alive again. That does not work for me at all because they should all be dead. Too much time went by in the scenes to have them still alive. Overall I think the writers are too far over the edge with this series. They write in too many things that just could never happen. The quality of the scenes is great and they have done a good job making that part of it interesting. I also feel the number of shows for a season is not enough when you are paying to watch this channel. I hope the next season is more logical. I will continue to watch the reruns that make more sense and are a lot more fun.
