Mehh. Was looking for a good murder mystery after seeing Knives Out at the cinema earlier in the day and had seen a snippet of this in the preview show. A disappointing melee. First of all, the murder takes AGES to occur (maybe an hour), and in the meantime, there are about 50 people to keep track of, many of the snobby uppercrust people being rather generic except for the famous actors playing them, and the servant class holding slightly more interest but gossiping, sniping, and concerning themselves with mostly the mundane. I fell asleep before Stephen Fryโs inspector even arrived, thatโs how chaotic and non-sequential I found it. Think of the fight scene in Endgame where your favourite character/actor gets 5 seconds of screen time due to sheer numbers involved. It felt like that but with less purpose.
