The first film was better, the sequel was all about war and fighting. The plot was shaky, if a movie that centers a damsel in distress is what you're looking for, this is the film that you'd probably love. Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) only had a few dialogue and screentime, the story mostly circle with Aurora. It would have saved the film if they made a character improvement with Aurora who's apparently the Queen of the Moors who only cried, shouted and got hurt (not by protecting the moors). The ending was not well thought of, it was tacky. Imagine having a wedding on the very day a large number fairies got massacred and call it an ending. Very Disney-like. It's DISAPPOINTING, they did not give justice to a strong female protagonist and actress.
