Utterly incredible. This show is an amazing, insightful and poignant work of art, a work of mind-blowing genius and heart-breaking emotion. I am shocked and disgusted that this didn't win Best Picture, or at least Best Original Score.
When watching this, you can't help but laugh, cry and follow the moving and brilliantly crafted journey of the relatable and exquisitely human characters of YoYo, TomTom, JJ, Cody and the various other characters inhabiting the beautifully done Cocomelon world. The setting is gorgeous, the plot intriguing and engaging, the message memorable and the characters remarkably developed. This is sure to be watched over and over and over and OVER again, especially if you have young children.
Every time I watch this, I discover something new about the Cocomelon universe. For example, did you know that JJ's new bed is the S.S. slumber? After the mind-shattering cliff-hanger in the previous song, I wasn't sure I could live with myself till I either learned what his new bed was or TURNED THE SHOW OFF. Truly an incredibly crafted masterwork of plot in television.
An animated gem, Cocomelon contains all the elements of a piece de resistance: a well-developed, delightfully-done world, visually stunning animation, original and gorgeous music, a cast of lovable, flawed and UNCANNILY human characters, a plot like no other, and messages that resonate with the troubles of our time, Cocomelon is a must-watch and true diamond. If you're a parent with a TV, Netflix subscription and a toddler, and you haven't watched this yet, YOU WILL. Trust me, you will.
EDIT: Upon rewatching Cocomelon, I have determined that it is higher than mere children's television- it is life. It holds all the keys to unlocking the secrets of the universe- nay, the multiverse and whatever may lie beyond. It is the godly, incredible, unfathomable work of incomprehensible genius. It is above human imagination. It is the work of the sheer forces of the galaxy.
