I was hopeful that the link from the 70’s and 80s to the 2000s and today would be thoughtful and logical. There was so much potential. What we were left in the last two movies was Fonzie jumping the shark. Princess Leia floating in outer space and coming back to life, Luke creating an image of himself to be attacked from planets away, and Kylo Ren and Rey telepathically fighting in the last was just over the top. This was even worse. The continued cheesy humor as well as telepathic fighting from two locations and the return of more of the dead. The premise was set in Empire Strikes back I guess but it was too much. Thousands of generations of Jedi not being able to do this but in this final two installments it’s common place? The emotional outbursts were also out of control with seemingly everyone crying at some point throughout. Healing each other with healing hands to the lesbian kisses at the end. Was that really needed? It was over the top and just incoherent and just didn’t make sense. Star Wars was the ultimate battle between good and evil and they kept that theme but the jump to this spiritual...wow. Highly disappointed in the conclusion to what USED to be the bar set for all science fiction movies that followed. The money grab should’ve stopped I’m the early 80s
