This movie is very interesting. It seems to almost represent a page of the Mexican cartel community. Of course, there is a twist, as it introduces issues relevant to transgender people that difficult to relate to and asks us to try to be more sympathetic to the characters involved. I found it very compelling. The musical numbers add some levity to the tense script. Relax and enjoy it. I did.

A bit slow and dated. We have seen this story several times already. Yes, the acting is good but who cares when we know exactly what is happening at every step. The totally dark scenes don’t really add much to the story. Could they not find some more interesting music? After all said, Cilian Murphy is wiorth watching one more time.

Brings good memories from my first watching of this movie. How Pecci is the ideal performer of this role. He makes up for his short height with a gigantic acting role. His crackly voice adds to the whole thing

This is a movie that takes us back in time to an era that has not necessarily passed. Racial issues persist. One would imagine that after so many years, we would have evolved, but, we have not come too far from where the movie takes us. Every scene is vary gripping. The characters seem, for the must part have taken from reality shots even though, at times they almos seem to be caricatures of themselves. Nothing comical about any of the frames in this movie even though it appears than an attempt at it was made. The cinematography is very good and realistic. Spike Lee has established as serious filmmaker. By the way his chops as an actor are shown clearly.
