i truly loved this show and thought james corden was one of the most fun-loving dudes on tv. carpool karaoke with bts remained one of my most favorite moments on this show for a while and along with many others, i only ever watched the show when i knew bts were going to be on it. corden was one of the very few celebrities that could be trusted with bts, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case. that’s why i feel it is such a shame to have to be leaving this review after corden’s recent actions. calling bts an “unusual” attendee to the UN and stereotyping all bts fans as “15 year old girls” was wrong and made it clear that corden had only been using bts for clout in the past and has finally revealed his true colors, and in return, lost our respect. it is NOT unusual for bts to speak at the UN, as they have done it before and are one of the biggest leaders of this generation who speak up for things that matter and for the people who don’t have a voice, and make strong connections with people all over the world through their music alone. corden’s clouded idea of the bts army is the farthest from the truth, as there are army’s as young as 5 and as old as 80, give or take a few years. corden should be more careful with his words, whether something was intended as a “joke” or not, not everything can just be passed off as such, and we did not find it funny. corden owes us, and most importantly bts, an apology.
