Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, for me, stands out as one of the best remakes the studio has produced. What makes this adaptation truly special is its unwavering commitment to the heart of the original story.
What I loved most is that it was faithful to the original story. It didn’t feel like they were trying to reinvent anything—just bring it to life in a new way. The heart of the movie is still there: the funny moments, the emotional ones, and that beautiful message about ohana and belonging.
The actors were great too. Everyone just fit their roles so well, especially Lilo—she was like in the original. And Stitch - still chaotic and adorable.
There were a few small changes here and there, but nothing that took away from the movie at all. If anything, they helped freshen it up without losing what made the original so special.
All in all, it was entertaining, really touching, and just a feel-good movie. If you loved the original, I think you’ll really enjoy this one too.
