Acutely predictable. Inappropriate, even. ESPECIALLY the post-credits scene. OF COURSE the wife had to die, because she was a strong woman, wife of a rich man, a force of nature, and nothing would happen in the world unless the death of a woman pushed men to be better. The only other lead woman was also white and also the typical strong, confident, โoh, men donโt know anythingโ type, a Mary Sue (idk if Iโm using that term right), and OF COURSE she had to kiss the lead man at SOME POINT because like what else would she have done? There was only one person of color and he had minimal screen time and lines for his role in the whole thing. And WWI was a tragedy, and they did a poor job of dealing with it, making light of it. I knew the natural progression of events, but i didnโt think they would DARE touch it, but they did: the mid/post-credits scene introduced Hitler. A bad, BAD move, especially since no one on the Kingsmen as theyโve introduced is Jewish. I think for them to actually go through with a movie with that plot would absolutely decimate the entire franchise, which would be unfortunate because the first two movies were amazing, and this one put enough of a dent in that reputation. The fight scene choreography was as good, but the direction, soundtrack, script, everything else may as well have been an entirely different plot, movie, etc. Should just be a stand-alone film so it doesnโt taint the amazing work of the other two. Also the Scotsman really should have been David Tenant, or he should have been in one of the other two. Just very upset with it compared to the other two movies, as a woman, and as a Jew. If you liked the other two just forget this one even ever came out.
