I'm so surprised by this film following all the negative press. I don't know what people expect from a film based on a theatrical production, they couldn't have made it any better. I advise you don't have any distractions, stick with it and hopefully like me within 20mins you'll find yourself fully captivated by the songs, dancing, storyline and weirdness - so much beauty in that weirdness! Theres just the right amount of humour, gets a few giggles without being overdone. I'm not the artsy type but I really appreciated the art in this and felt so moved and uplifted at the end. Don't let the reviews put you off, as it did me for the past 18months.
