I can’t believe I paid five dollars to watch this film. No plot, terrible acting. It is by far the dumbest film I have seen in a long time. First off, this has nothing to do with a Civil War. It’s all about three voyeuristic war photographers who relish all things death and unrealistic jump into active combat to get the “shot”. Why would fighters allow these idiots to be right next to them taking pictures while they are shooting and being shot at? Why would Texas, Florida and California be aligned in this Civil War? At no point do we ever find out what the war is even about. It’s basically a shallow story about these three individuals and their absurd relationships. Two hours I will never get back.

I had no idea what this movie was even about and was so delighted. It was hilarious but also touched on more serious themes. Jennifer Lawrence was perfect for the role and really funny. Watch it — it’s very enjoyable.

I know this is supposed to be brilliant but maybe I’m just not intellectual enough to get it. We are giving up after 4 episodes. The first two episodes drew us in. The next two were about a bunch of weirdos whose motivations we can’t discern. One trend I’ve noticed in past years is the lack of a protagonist one can actually root for. This show is another example of this. All the characters are all highly unlikeable. Furthermore, unlike Sucession where everyone is horrible but still fun to watch, this show is at times painfully slow and boring. Weird and boring, with the occasional interesting moment, is how I would describe this.

Just saw this today and am now cracking up reading wildly enthusiastic reviews. It’s not a great movie by any stretch but it’s mindless and enjoyable. Lots of cliches well executed, and the flight scenes were exciting. Tom cruise is aging very well so you’re in for a treat if you’re a fan. John Hamm looks much older than his mad men days.

This was a slow train wreck that you can’t stop watching, even as it gets slower and slower at the end. There were countless monologues that went way too long, especially the ridiculous one at the end. I had to laugh when people would pause to deliver some absurdly long speech while they were being pursued by bloodthirsty zombies/vampires. I can’t say this was a total waste of time but it also could have been so much better with 30 percent less useless verbiage.
