I had high hopes for this movie. After suffering through nearly 2 hours of boring nothingness (that really didn't influence the plot), the murder occurred. The “plot twist” was easily predictable - so much so that it didn’t even occur to me that the plot twist must have already been revealed until the credits rolled. This movie must have been geared towards an audience with heart monitors that won’t allow their hearts to surpass 50 beats per minute. Foreshadowing was poured on thickly and there were about three possible suspects in a room with 20 people… so much more could have been. The lack of suspense left me yearning for a movie where I would at least feel some sense of fear or surprise. Disappointing ending to a waste of time. I must credit Maggie Smith’s performance (one of the few aspects of this movie that restrained me from reporting it as 1 star) as her snobbish character was the only amusing element. I would not recommend this movie for any murder mystery fans.
