This show was surprising. I decided to watch this show because I had watched Winx Club when I was younger and thought it would be similar. I'm not too particularly happy with how one of my favourite childhood shows was adapted for example most of the characters are teens who just started high school, but it seems like they are more like college or university students since in one episode they were all drinking and a few constantly smoke etc. I feel some of Bloom's original character was lost in the adaptation since she was a lot more reasonable and understanding and less standoffish. I was also disappointed that two characters of colour from the main group were left out like Musa who is East-Asian.
Outside of my complaints of the show, I think it's pretty good when not compared to Winx Club as its own show instead of fighting the witches in the first season of Winx Club they are faced with an old evil called the "Burned Ones". Off the bat, the show explains that transformation magic is long lost with the faires evolution which I was originally disappointed to see, but then was brought back as something amazing in the show.
All in all, I have to say the show is pretty good it's just hard to see the characters I know and love from an older show be changed and see them act differently. I just can't compare Fate: The Winx Saga to the original Winx Club since they both have a different air to them due to one being aimed towards younger girls, and Fate: The Winx Saga being aimed towards older teens and adults. Each show brings something different to the table and is good in its own right.
