The exchange of dialogue between the two characters at the beginning was riveting and had great potential to bring insight into important topics that were mentioned during this first act. However, by the end, I was left jaded with the constant scenes of conflict between them, each one with less to say than the one prior. I also love that they delved into the rarely-discussed issues of self-sabotage and the relationship between an artist and their muse, but the depth (or lack thereof) in which these topics and the characters were analysed and brought to life did not justify the 1h 40m running time.
