This show is the epitome of guilty pleasure but is also SO fun. Yeah sure it’s a show just about attractive horned up 20 somethings that act like airheads but weirdly none of the contestants are ever annoying they are all interesting to watch. The narrators hilarious, editing pretty weird but tolerable, location is beautiful, and the premise is pretty unique. If you like a little raunchy humor, attractive people to look at, a little bit of cheesy romance, and a lot of weird sexual situations then this show is for you.

This film captivated me from the VERY first shot. This is one of the most beautiful films made this year. The cinematography actually connects to the story. This film doesn’t just look like shots captured by a camera. It looks like a majestic painting. The water and the waves where so alluring I felt I could actually reach out and touch them. This is one of the most powerful films made this year. This is a film that plays with your emotions. The director is never quite clear about how they want the audience to feel. Or if the decisions the characters are making are good or bad. The writing in this movie is so clever and complex. There are tons of small scenes and one liners that you think are just filler. ACTUALLY come back into play, and tie into the mystery at the end of this movie. And interestingly despite this movies abundant use of voiceover. It never once felt forced or like blatant exposition, it felt smart. This is a very subtle movie. There are no HUGE plot twists. Or anything greatly shocking. It’s a slower burn type of movie, that is like a giant jigsaw puzzle. This film slowly let’s you put the pieces together, by letting YOU put together the context clues. Which is why this movie is even better on rewatch so you can look at the movie again from an entirely new preceptive, and it gets even better. This is a film that I believe will be a misunderstood gem. There are SO many tiny things to analyze in this film. You could talk about them for hours. Which is what a good film does. It makes you think. This is a powerful movie that will stick with you in all the right ways. The ending will leave you cold and unsure. It makes you question life and reflect on your own experiences. Which is so astounding and moving, when movies can relate to your own personal life like that. However this isn’t a perfect movie. I wished we had more characterization of the two main characters. Especially Rebecca Ferguson’s character, I didn’t really feel as connected to them as I would have liked to have been. This universe also had a couple of unnecessary subplots, that could have been taken out, and made the film more conceive. And the first act was a tad bit slow. But, Really these are all just nit picks because the movie was so good. I highly recommend you watch this movie. Preferably in theaters because the cinematography is worth seeing on the big screen.

This is one of the worst movies of the year. This is one of the most contrived scripts I’ve EVER seen for such a simple premise. The storyline is incomprehensible. There is about 10 plot twists in the movie and they all don’t make sense. This film has no sense of pacing. For the majority of the movies runtime it feels like the film is on 2x speed. All the characters are pretty one dimensional. This movie has one of the worst villains in cinema history. If you miss 10 seconds of one particular scene in this movie. Then you know ABSOLUTELY nothing about the villains motives. Which also don’t make sense. This is like a franken movie of tropes. Every action movie clique you can think of is in here. Even if that particular clique makes no scene with this films plot or tone. The tone in this movie is also WAY off. Sometimes I think they are going for a more realistic action movie. And sometimes I think they are going for FULL on comedy. There really isn’t any rhyme of reason to why scenes happen. Our main character just shows up places. We don’t know how she got there or why she is their or how it connects to the previous scenes we just watched. It’s just the script told her to go there and do this. Our main character is also very flat. She is just very uninteresting and we know almost nothing of value about her character. She is portrayed as smart but she utilizes this skill in NO WAY. Although this movie DOES have some good scenes. Like the limited action sequences in this movie were choreographed and filmed well. It’s also a well lit movie. Maggie Q does have some good one liners. And Samuel L Jackson did a great job in this movie. Although his character also didn’t make much scene. He is a good actor and the best thing in this movie .This film makes the DRASTIC mistake in underutilizing his character. I felt whenever he was on screen the movie got better. I wanted to see more scenes of Samuel and Maggie Q and delve deeper into their relationship. Because we know virtually nothing about there bond or relationship. So we don’t care about it. And the ENTIRE film relies on that you care about there difunctional dynamics. But I was just so confused I couldn’t focus on the few positives because of how jumbled this movie was. I’m not sure how hundreds of people approved this script . I don’t recommend this movie at all. It can’t even be enjoyed as a mindless action movie because there isn’t even that many action scenes in this movie. And the action scenes they do have are FAR to short.

There are lots of things to like about this movie. Matt Damon charisma and acting talents brings a lot to this movie. Abigail Breslin gives a great performance as well. I liked all the scenes that focus on on Matt Damon and his relationship with this family he meets. These are by far the strongest scenes in the film. I liked the somber tone and thought the third act was really strong and had some good tension to it. I thought the ending was somewhat effective and emotional. I liked how the third act was told in a pretty realistic tone. But unfortunately the rest of this movie is pretty weak. The movie goes in two different directions plot wise. It’s like the writers couldn’t decide on a cohesive plot. Most of this movie just feels like two movies in one. The pacing of the first act is BEYOND slow. Most of this movie is quite boring. The characters reactions don’t make sense, given the context of the situation. This is a very character driven movie but unfortunately, all the characters are one dimensional. I never felt connected or invested in any of them. Even though the actors were really good, I still needed more characterization. I never saw Bill as a good movie character I just saw Matt Damon as a good actor. The movie wouldn’t have been nearly as good without him. The characters tend to overact to things Matt Damon dose. The intent was too show Bill as a flawed protagonist by overdramatizing the characters reactions to his bad decisions. But this overreacting didn’t have the impact the direct wanted. It just made the other characters FAR more unlikable. I never saw bill in the way they director wanted me too ( until the third act) because he did all the right things. Until end where characters actions and reactions make a lot more sense. This movie goes weirdly into a political direction in the first/ second act. There jokes just didn’t land well. And the dialogue about political topics just completely took me out of the movie because it was so awkward. Matt Damon actually said the phrase fake news unironically. I’m not against political messaging in movies but it just really felt out of place in this movie. Also this movie had a really terrible message. The message was basically That your just a screw up and there is nothing you can do to improve, and it’s not your fault the world is just against you. Horrible messaging in a serious film like this. But my main issue with this movie is the plot twist. It Just doesn’t make any sense given the outcome of the movie. It’s one of the biggest plot holes I’ve seen in a film in AWHILE. So overall not a great movie. I don’t recommend it.

This is one of the BEST video games movies EVER made. This film easily exceeded all my expectations. This film was fresh, funny, unique, and clever. The special effects ARE AMAZING. One of the best special effects I’ve seen in a movie in AWHILE. In my opinion the effects are slightly better than Ready Player Ones effects. Which really helps elevate this film and make it all the more entertaining to watch. I highly recommend you see it in 3D because it really helps to bring the world the writers and directors set up even more realistic and enthralling. All the characters are fully fleshed out they are NOT just disposable action characters you see in FAR to many video game movies. They acting is amazing Ryan Renolds REALLY made this film. This film wouldn’t have been as funny or emotionally investing without him. He also really fits the build aesthetic wise. Which made the film made the film more real. And surprisingly Joe Keery gave the best performance in the entire film. This film was filled with lovable characters. And a really intriguing story line. The ending was also really heart warming. This is DEFINITELY a feel good movie. The action scenes were all MEMORABLE and well choreographed. Ryan Renolds and Jodie Comer did a great job in ALL those scenes. I will definitely remember them. That being said this isn’t a perfect film. Some of the jokes didn’t land well. Taika Waititi was miscast for his role and overacted quite a bit. His slap stick performance didn’t fit well with tone of the rest of the movie. The movie also sometimes gets pretty clique at times where it just didn’t need to be. But the positives DRASTICALLY outweigh the negatives. It’s definitely worth your time and money. Go see this film there really isn’t another one quite like it. It’s worth the price for admission simply due to the special effects and elaborate and memorable action sequences.

This was a vastly disappointing film. I am a HUGE fan of the original. So I really wanted to like this sequel. But this shouldn’t even be called a sequel. It ties into the original film in almost NO way. You are just left with more questions than answers. They RUIN most peoples favorite character in the franchise ( blind man) and they completely changed his personality. He was portrayed as pure evil in the original. But somehow in this one he is the HERO of the film. The sequel pretends the first one never happened. They forget about woman he kept in his basement, the rape, the child murders. And he is given NO redemption arc he is just magically a better person in the sequel. The blind man is also practically invincible in this movie. The writers take away TOO MUCH of his vulnerability, so that kills a lot of the tension this film was going for because we know that the characters life is not truly in danger. This film is also full of plot holes, weak jump scares, and red herrings. The action scenes are poorly filmed. They are almost incomprehensible because of shaky cam and unnecessary zooms. This film COMPLETELY forgets about what made the original so unique. The blind man mostly didn’t even act blind. He looks people in the eye when he talks and suffers no disadvantages or hearing advantages from being blind ( most of the time). It’s like the writers forgot that he can’t see. This isn’t a quiet film at all. Everyone shouts which makes this movie turn into a basic invasion thriller real fast. The only time the characters are actually quiet and sneak around the house is in the first 10 minutes of the invasion. And this is by FAR the best and most thrilling part of the entire movie. The films pacing is off. It’s a really boring movie and felt an hour longer than it actually was. That being said there are some positives it was mostly well acted. The first thirty minutes were good. It has good lighting and SOME clever and intense scenes. But that’s about it. Really not worth your money. This film had potential but failed at being a good sequel and a good movie in general. It’s not an unwatchable mess but, it still isn’t a good movie.

This is one of the BEST movies of the YEAR. This isn’t your typical musical or rise to fame Hollywood story. This is a realistic raw portrayal of how people cope with childhood trauma and difficult family dynamics. It’s a journey about finding your own voice and regaining control over your own life. After it’s been controlled by others for so long. There was never scene in this movie where I thought this was a dramatized Hollywood moment. This film is SO GOOD at staying supper grounded in reality. It felt real and relatable. Jenifer Hudson really did a great job at portraying Aretha. I was skeptical about her performance in the beginning but, after we learn more about her past and her relationships with some of the other characters. Her portrayal was really smart and made total sense. Everyone in this movie gave good performances. All the characters are fully fleshed out. Even though the film is solely about Aretha I LOVED the other characters as well. This is a really character driven movie and they do a good job or getting you to love or hate specific characters. This is a really slow burn and subtle film. It never beats you over the head with its messages or themes. You don’t get blatant exposition it simply shows you the scenes and the film rewards you for paying attention. This is a very visual film. The music is great but, the best part of this movie is that it isn’t about the music. The music is secondary to the plot and messaging of the movie. This movie is directed and told like a collection memoranda. There isn’t a clear three act structure to this movie. It’s told like someone looking back on their life. Remembering the most important moments in their lives, that shaped them into the person they are today. Which is very clever and unique. This film has PLENTY of intense scenes. But these intense scenes are grounded in reality. They are written like they are happening in REAL life not in a movie. They aren’t over dramatized. This film had me tearing up multiple times. And that ENDING. I was left speechless. This is a film I will watch many times over again, and one that is even more rewarding on its second viewing. Definitely worth a watch.

This is a movie you have seen a thousand times before. It’s unoriginal but well done. The cinematography is acceptable. The pacing for the first two acts is good. The acting of course is amazing. Joey King gives a great performance as usual. But My main problem with this movie is the lack of creativity in its script. The third act has a lot of issues. The pacing is poor and quite boring and as usual very cliched. You could tell exactly where the movie was going and how it would end. The ending was stereotypical and boring. It elicits no emotional response in the audience who has watched these characters for three movies. I wanted to like the direction they where going in. But I couldn’t. ( Some plot points exposed from here on. Very minor spoilers. ) they made a baffling decision to turn one of the only likable characters in the movie into a total jerk. It’s also poorly written they completely forget about two main characters They placed extreme importance on completely disappeared halfway through the movie. It’s almost Like they forgot they wrote these characters in the story. I wanted to like the third act because of the realistic and positive message they were trying to send. But I feel they just did it in an uninteresting sloppy way. I got no emotional release from the ending. And if you really think about it. The ending is still pretty cliche. And I feel they should have cut the ending scene and ended it 5 minutes earlier. In fact 20 to 15 minutes could have been shaved of the runtime. And honestly L and Noah just have the same problems they have in the two previous movies. Leaving me wondering why they where even together if they have nothing in common. Honestly EVERYONE in the movie is awful to each other. L and Noah’s relationship is toxic as well as L and Lee’s relationship and macros and L relationship. I hated everyone. All the main characters are Unlikable ( except for Chloe weirdly). What makes them tolerable is that the actors that played them are good at their jobs. Good acting is not the end all be all of a good script. The writers tried to make Noah more likable by showing he has matured but, Unfortunately they do it at the expense of L character development. The result of Noah growing as a character ruins the possible character growth of L. (No spoilers) but he forces her to make a good decision that she should have come to her own conclusions on by growing as a character and realizing her character flaws and improving upon them. This realization doesn’t have the impact it could have had because she is forced into this realization by Noah. So overall watchable teen rom com it’s the best one in the series. It’s good execution and immaculate acting can’t make up for its cliched storyline with no original spin on the typical teen rom com genre.

This movie is absolutely amazing. It’s everything I wanted to see in a comic book movie. Hilarious, gory, action packed, lighthearted. Everything that was wrong in the Suicide Squad ( 2016) they fixed. The plot actually makes sense. It doesn’t take itself to seriously. The action scenes are well choreographed and directed. It has great cinematography. It’s weirdly very colorful despite it mostly taking place in the jungle. All the acting is on point there wasn’t one weak performance in the movie the standouts being Idris Elba and John Cena. The characterization for all the characters was amazing. I felt really connected to our main characters which is extremely impressive because this movie has a HUGE cast. The special effects were AMAZING. This movie uses a lot of them and the special effects could really tank this movie because of how heavily they rely on them, but all where beautiful and pretty realistic. Especially the ones they use on king shark. He was the best character in the entire movie. They actually made a man eating shark lovable. The first act of the movie is nearly flawless I can’t find any faults. The third act is really strong as well. Overall this movie very well written. They reference minor things subtly that come up again in the movie. Which was very clever and fun. But where this movie falters is it’s second act. The first and third act are well paced but the second act is a little boring. They go from a lighthearted self aware comedic movie to a serious drama type movie. which is very perplexing because the other acts are very comedic with hints of seriousness. The very serious tone just doesn’t work. And the movie is also slightly too long. 10 to 15 minutes could be shaved off the second act. But overall it’s a great movie. If you hated the 2016 Suicide Squad. Watch this one because it’s actually a good movie With good writing. they really took the criticisms of the first one to heart and listened to them. One of the best comic book sequels ever made.

I had 0 expectations going in. But nevertheless I was very surprised by this movie. The first act is amazing. It had great pacing, good cinematography, great special effects and makeup. I love the flashbacks interlaced through out the story. The acting was really good. The standout performance here is the mom. She dose an astounding job in both roles she is given. I love the slow transformation throughout the movie it was very subtle yet very heartbreaking. Its pretty well written. The director’s nailed the thriller aspect of the movie I really felt the tension they were trying to portray on screen. I thought the sets where really well constructed. I really got that claustrophobic feel they were going for. While the good criticisms outweigh the bad. I still did have some issues with this movie. The child character. I thought was weak. The actor that played him you could tell was inexperienced. Which is a shame because the movie focuses on him a lot and relies heavily on his performance. In his defense there was also an issue with the way he was written and the dialogue he was given. I did think in the beginning he was written in a very cartoonish way. I couldn’t imagine a child ( let alone how smart) saying some of the things he says. despite this I did think that the movie did a great job setting up the complicated relationship between mother and son. I felt like within the first 10 minutes of the movie I truly understood the family dynamics and had a full understanding of their bond. But my main problem with the movie is the third act. The pacing starts to slow down a little bit. I thought the movie could do with about 30 minutes shaved off the runtime. The movie starts to get a little repetitive after awhile. But overall I really liked this movie. If you like the movie a train to bussan you will like this one it’s very similar. And that ending was very impactful and emotional. It’s my favorite part of the whole movie. While this is a flim you can’t analyze in depth without the plot falling apart. It’s a great thriller/ drama movie to watch on a Friday night. I recommend it for at least a one time watch.
