I loved Artemis Fowl and I can't see why anyone would rate it poorly. To be fair, I haven't read the series, so I don't know how accurate it was compared to the books, but a good screen writer always makes a script their own, so it doesn't necessarily matter if it was different from the books. As far as I can tell, Artemis Fowl was a great movie with great actors and deserves much better than a two star review.
