Thought it was tremendous with a great blend of Herbert's politics and sci-fi spectacle. Just like Bladrunner 2049, director Denis Villeneuve has crafted yet another nuanced film to add to top tire science fiction filmmaking. Digital photography never looked better and this film pulls no stops. The acting by the cast is solid and is refreshing when they are able to have good chemistry to work together on. I wanted more Sandworms so there better be more in part two which in my copy of the book is around page 445. Akot more of the book is left to stick the landing. For now this is a great film to watch in a theater and streaming on HBO Max.
