Honestly, it wasn't great. Not enough excitement. The actors and actresses did a great job, but the storyline was lacking something. I can't say exactly what it was lacking just...something. My three stars are for the cast, not the story itself. I was also extremely aggravated with the many many times it appeared that Jean was going to confess to the people she was manipulating and then something else came out of her mouth, another lie or whatever. Then there are all the times you think she's busted by Sam and it turns out he's talking about something completely different. Then there are all of the stupid idiotic mistakes she made like saying to Sydney that she manipulated Sam into getting a tattoo when she shouldn't have known that and just other slip ups with other people she had. The slip ups were so completely obvious that you want to believe she is doing it on purpose and not accidentally which makes no sense unless she is just testing them to see how much control she has over them or if she is purposefully trying to tell on herself. Lying about Allison's progress was completely unnecessary no idea why that was even part of the story unless she was just trying to impress her co-workers with having gotten through to a patient. Sydney basically not even reacting to Jean telling her that she should get back with Sam was unbelievable. Michael looking all disgusted when he saw Alexis all around town with multiple men then trying to get with her, as if he had romantic feelings for her as opposed to just wanting to get with her for sex, was unbelievable. Dolly being such a brat was a little off putting as well. I know children aren't perfect and that meltdowns happen especially with children who have ADHD but seriously that child had no form of discipline in her life at all. To have a mom who is a therapist that has not taught her boundaries or coping skills is well, unbelievable. Last but not least, what was with that ugly gold necklace that she kept wearing when she was going to meet up with Sydney? Maybe I can't really complain about that because perhaps it is just a matter of personal taste for me, but the way she dressed when she was going to meet Sydney at the clubs etc just screamed 80's rocker chick which, OK at her age maybe she was once an 80's rocker chick but if you are trying to get a younger more hip person to fall for you wouldn't you at least try to not show your age so much? I was honestly embarrassed for her character going into those places with all of those young people at her age and dressed as she would have when she were their age instead of dressing to look a bit more like them or a bit more like the decade she was currently in. Honestly it would have been better for her to even just wear what she would normally wear to go out with her friends or her husband instead of painfully trying to fit in with a crowd so much younger than herself.
