Rise of Skywalker was at the least a tad bit enjoyable. The only issue is it fails to deliver the Epic finish life long fans deserved, leaving open many plot holes while also doing a large disservice to a lot of characters. This movie is afraid to take risks, treating deaths in the movie very sudden and sort of confusing. Also making moments that should be very serious and not taken lightly to slowly feel as though its distress leading to a big pay off. Rise of Skywalker opens up a lot of doors but fails to shut them, quickly skipping through major points and slowly forgetting them, or simply hinting towards something that never happens. Watching this movie while also knowing the star wars lore might also be very difficult for some people, many things are actually gotten wrong in this movie. Misuse of powers and very odd power imbalances. This movie was filled with ex-machinas that constantly got this movie out of corners that it wrote itself. SPOILERS................SPOILERS...................SPOILERS: I had plenty of issues with the movie but one thing was this; "The Final Order Fleet" the big and bad fleet, yeah the one that's the biggest the universe has ever seen...............ITS ALL MANUALLY GUIDED INTO LAUNCHING INTO ORBIT!!!! For those of you who don't understand, the biggest fleet the universe has ever seen needs to be guided all simultaneously at the same time into space. Making the defeat of the entire fleet based upon the obliteration of one ship or one satellite. That is the laziest writing ever known to man, "Let's have a big badass army, but only allow it to be operated by a mother ship/satellite." Thats so stupid, anyway the movie was filled with alot of good moments it just ultimately falls short in being that sincere closing to the beloved saga. This felt more like the end of 9 and the beginning of another trilogy rather than a send off to the now 9 movie Star Wars Saga. I recommend a watch but its unfortunate to say that this movie will indeed be forgotten. Goodbye Star Wars im sorry for what they did to you.
