Is it a great story - absolutely not. It is an ordinary story told in an extra ordinary manner. The point of view story narrations, screenplay, editing, dialogues, music score, cast performance, singer choice were all simply superb. This is a theatre experience movie. Do not stream it on TV for god's sake. Hooked to the music

Saw this the first weekend when it released. Hands down still the best movie Vijay has acted in (except the final action sequence which had the Vijay masala element in it)...today is Feb 8th 2021 and it has been 9 years since this movie came out. A repeat watch anytime anywhere is worth for the screenplay, perfect casting, excellent action sequences with knives and hands.
