Never saw the stage show so came at the movie without expectations. It was a little slow to get going - we even heard snores from the row behind! - and we did inutially wonder if we had made a mistake but about a third of the way through it kind of hooked us in. Fascinating clever makeup/costume., slightly avatar style, and being a cat as my avatar does appeal as a cat fan. Fun to identify the stars. Storyline a little weak and I'm not a huge fan of the songs. But beautiful people/felines and a pleasant way to pass a couple of hours before back to work blues kick in.
