This show is about 12 year old Sydney and her best friend Olive with their adventures of being middle schoolers (7th graders as of the beginning of the series). In some scenes, Sydney's father, Max, is shown with a similar or the same exact scenario that Sydney is going through (For example, dying her hair in the first episode, or wanting a dog in the second episode) when he was her age, along with his best friend Leo. This shows that the father-daughter duo have more in common than they think. Sydney's grandma/Max's mom seems to be more understanding of Sydney than Max at times, but this is beyond the point. So with this in mind, has Disney finally created a good show that will air new episodes in 2019 (aside from Andi Mack), or is it yet another disastrous show? In my opinion, based on watching the first episode and trailers/previews for other episodes, I must say so far I am impressed with Sydney to the Max. From lovable actors like Caroline Rhea and Ava Kolker (Girl Meets World) to the great plot/storyline, this makes SttM a show worth watching.
