My thoughts on pt1.
1.John was playful, aloof and not emotionally invested as Paul. John seemed to be carefree and going through the motions.
2. Paul mostly, but Paul and John as a team were dismissive and rude to George. When Paul was talking and collaborating, explaining his vision, the band was all ears... when George piped up, the others bantered, tinkered on instruments, generally didn't show interest or respect.
3. Ringo was quiet, looked bored and contributed minimally as the Paul/John worked out songs.
4. John and Paul seemed to get along great as a team--i was expecting more brotherly ribbing and fights.
5.yoko really didn't need to be there, she looked really bored, but at least seemed to stay out of the way.
6. It was really weird to see the Beatles happiest, enthused and most playful once George left the band. Hell, they even let Yoko scream incoherently over carefree jams--must have been blowing off steam.
7. Lots of cool tidbits of jams/covers
8. 30-45 minutes could hedge easily beem shaved off, especially when Working out "Get back." It was weird how Peter Jackson let some minutiae and banter go on forever, seemingly going nowhere, but othertimes glazed over seemingly cool parts into a montage.
9. Overall, very cool and insightful look into the genius, creativity and interpersonal relationships of the fab 4 like I've read about, but never saw before
