I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 because it was nice to see Kirsten Dunst and the older Black man, S. McKinley. Otherwise, the story line was very familiar, at many times stupid and/or predictable, and more so, at many times unbelievable (like especially pay attention to when they reach the White House and how the President is 'taken', and all thereafter). There weren't any times when I was shocked at what happened, just perhaps shocked that they didn't see it coming (I had to remind myself 'it's a movie'!). I'm glad I saw this outside the movies and didn't spend the $20+ per movie ticket because it was not worth that IMO, maybe a matinee price, actually, a good made for TV movie would describe it better.

It's like a reality show about trailer park nastiness mixed with Honey Boo mixed with a horrible failure story from My 600 lb Life (which is a show I actually do like!).

It's ok...reminded me of 'Girlfriends' which I couldn't get into. My homegirl got me into a few episodes and I think watching it with my buddy makes it slightly better but without her I don't watch. Andi may be professionally 'smart', but she is dumb as hell regarding life and her romantic decisions, and after only a couple of episodes I was annoyed and done with her...it's like she deserves what she gets for being dumb as s*. The girl playing Karen is faking that accent horribly so much so that she annoys me just because of it (she needs to listen to true Georgian girls again, i.e., Monica); we don't need another 'New New' (Lauren London in ATL). Sabrina is mostly tolerable, some of the time; her interactions with that guy she likes gets annoying with the back and forth feelings and dealings. The flamboyance portrayed with gay male roles is too often overdone, and TP doesn't fail with Maurice; but he too is just tolerable most of the time. I understand the role of Dani's character, the sarcastic humor, etc., but I think the actress destroys the character for me, and the White/Black dude she's 'dating' annoys me again with yet another horrible accent! Zac is Zac; his baby boy bumminess but wanting true adult women to take him serious and keep giving chances is too realistic unfortunately, but he is one of the better actors on the show in my opinion. Fatima remains to be seen; sometimes I think she's phony regarding her respect for Andi, others I think she's really genuine and her reaction after the whole love triangle was discovered increased her genuineness with me; so far she's tolerable. There are others, but those are the main, so that's who I spoke on, in my opinions!

I was 12/13 when this movie came out and if needed, I would have taken Leon to protect me! As I got older and watched this movie again it had a deeper meaning; they needed each other and their 'chemistry' as actors was great as well as was the on screen father/daughter relationship. This was/is a good a$$ movie!

The annoying female 'fairy tale' love story, wedding and happily ever after; if you love that, then this is for you! I however just feel like you fall in love (hopefully), get married and for me in a simple ceremony, and you live, as it won't always be happy (that's unrealistic). Jane was annoying with the whole 'crush on my boss' but too afraid to tell him thing, the always helping others but can't help herself thing, and the unwillingness to release from that 'picture perfect' thought line. However, it was an 'ok' movie, and please do not mistake my feelings as being bitter or whatever towards love; I am in fact married, did so at town hall and took guests to a Chinese buffet for my 'reception' and they loved it. Good memories and moments that are equal to multi thousand weddings/receptions elsewhere! Put work in the marriage, the wedding/reception is only a few hours, hopefully the marriage is lifelong.

I agree that the ending was bad, but I refuse to believe that it isn't a set-up for a 'Beats 2'. I mean he's starting his senior year of HS (though I thought they were seniors when prom came up!), Niyah is talking to him again and seemingly still interested, mom loosened up, and he can mature and experience more and that may lead to better beats and a better deal. I gave it a 'thumbs up' as I think it was an OK movie though it didn't really have a climax, but roles were played OK and I found more positive than negative...knowing Netflix, part 2 may be out next week!

I fell asleep watching something else and awoke to this. A marathon of it was running and as I drifted in and out of sleep, I kept hearing this ridiculously annoying voice and an aggravating familiar one; they woke me up! Turns out it was Lucas Black's character (which I remember and liked him in Sling Blade but can't stand him in this); I HATE how he talks in this show; the accent, how he moves his mouth, everything. And the other voice, that hard faced, annoying talking actress Vanessa F., who I've seen in other movies and her face and how she talks just annoys me. I know these things have nothing to do with the show's content, but listening to that guy talk is punishment as is her face, so I couldn't even try to like the show unless those 2 weren't on it!
