They have just started producing the second season, but so far I have been amazed at its quality, stunned by its power, and excited by its faithfulness to the scripture. It has struck a good balance of artistic license and faithfulness to the text. The makers do not claim to have an exact rendering, but they encourage viewers to read the Bible for themselves. Every episode should rightly draw people to the scripture itself to enjoy it anew.
