Great game, and I know for a fact I would've enjoyed it so much more had I not spoiled most of it for myself. It's fantastic! The art's really cool, and so is the gameplay. Some of the discussions I encountered were so mind-boggling, I wouldn't even be able to wrap my head around them until like, 3 hours later. It's really fun and addictive. I played it in around 20 hours non-stop, and I'd do it again,
If you're a Danganronpa fan (such as myself) who's looking for similar games, not gonna lie, I liked this one more. Not trashing Danganronpa, but sometimes it can be kind of predictable, and trying to explore the huge settings after the first game takes WAY too much time. YTTD is a big tougher, and it's generally more intriguing. The characters aren't as flat too. They're not a personality trait or archetype personified, and there's a bit of depth to them.
But some advice for anyone who wants to play; it's best played without the spoilers. You miss out on a lot of the suspense when you already know the importance of your choices and what they result in. It's still a top tier, 5 star game with the spoilers. But again, if you have the chance to play it without them, please do. The feelings and suspense are really amplified like that.
Overall, would definitely recommend you play this.
And extra notes! The protagonist is really realistic, and she's badass, but not in the annoying way? I guess what I'm trying to say is that she's one of the very few well-written female protagonists I can name (which is sad, but people do women so dirty all the time). And there's also mentions of the corrupt criminal justice system, in addition to a neurodivergent character (this character has autism, but I'm not spoiling who).
