Perhaps I had COVID brain and didn't realize that is why I fell for this series. However, season 4 so disappointed both my wife and me, that I have come to the conclusion that I am now post - pandemic. How the screenwriters did not slit their own throats when asked to write yet another of the dozens of silly little love scenes I'll never know. But perhaps it was because they were distracted by how terrible the acting really is, almost across the board. The worst failure of all is that really not much happened to advance the few meaningful plot lines ahead until the last and 12th episode of season 4. My wife vowed to not watch anymore of it. I assured her that surely this vapid series will not be renewed. The only saving grace might have been the short clips of beautiful scenery. But I pity the areas north of Vancouver that have been overrun with visitors seeking to find their next idyllic destination to move to, as if the price of property and housing didn't already have enough driving it out of everyone's reach.
