You will not believe the amount of time is wasted on silence. At the start it was a charming way to portray emotions, as characters contemplate every sentence. But by the midway point it is so tiresome. They speak one line, pause for 10 seconds, then they stare at each other. It becomes so overused that there barely is any conversation where the two main leads don't stop and pause for excruciating lengths of time. I also don't normally notice this but the female lead is very bad at showing emotions with her face. Her expressions are always sombre, on the verge of crying, or just stone faced. I don't know if it's a director's choice or if that's just how she is. The pacing is so slow due to the points I have mentioned that it's almost unbearable to watch a whole episode in one shot

Amazing drama set in the Joseon Period. Like other Sageuks, this show has a lot of drama revolving around the palace. However the main selling point of the show is the romance. It's charming, and the main leads have so much chemistry together. While the plot is predictable, it's the way the characters are built up that leads you to await for the big reveal. You know what's bound to happen yet you keep watching because the characters have such charming interactions, and you keep waiting for when the main lead gets his memory back, which is a turning point for the show. Overall, I really like this show. The romance is just incredible and it's definitely worth watching
