Not surprising this show was not renewed for a third season. The plot is derivative and the acting is poor; which when coupled with a weak overall plot, makes for mediocre viewing.

Great footage and detail of the key events in WWII. That said, the formatting of the episodes is confusing. Focusing on specific theatres of war (western Europe, eastern Europe, the Pacific) means the timeline of the show is all over the place - frequently jumping backwards in time. The Brit-centric production is also irritating - Axis powers are singled out; yet every Allied country that isn't America is constantly called British. More effort to acknowledge other contributing nations should be made.
