I will say this for adults hopefully y'all will catch on to the way the actors perform here because to me this came off as very racist and snarky. I get raising biracial children as I have three of my own but this family took things way out of portion. Of course some people, do not understand whether my fiance at times are their dad or step daddy especially when I am not around. I just to say this as someone whom be raised in both aspects a) the black lady acted straight as a white person with her acting, b) tell me this movie was not based on race is stupid and wrong, because when the white guy security guard approached the black mom and didn't see her Husband he started to talk bout rules but then changed his tune when the security guard noticed she had white husband I hope this hopes

This series is so impacted into not her life only but just the storyline is awesome. Learning more about how she started off and her family. I knew watching it was good as I wanted to learn more about her as a person but also an artist, this series put everything into another perspective of how much a person goes thru just to become famous and their voice is heard. Or even better make their name known. She did something herself and made herself and her family rich. Love the storyline. SO sad she gone but never forgotten.

I really loved the story line. I was kind of confused near the end when Ms.Gray showed up to the place where Curly Sue was at. Right before that scene Curly Sue was separated from Ms.Gray and Bill. Then Ms. Gray was not a legal guardian and then Bill came out of jail. Next Curly Sue is going to school so I took the ending to mean Ms.Gray won custody and Bill is there with them as well in Ms. Gray home
