This film is not just about Rubenโs loss of hearing. Itโs also about his addiction - continual craving for what he canโt have, his hearing or the life he wants. All along he already has what he needs. I donโt normally feel emotional in films but this film hit me hard. Itโs like a Buddhist text on suffering. Brilliant.
