My advice to people playing this is simple: Treat this game like what it is: A game that is twenty years old. That's not to say that its bad. It isn't. having played the original when I was about eight I can honestly say replaying it was a lot of fun. And I have the added advantage that I'm old enough now that I can play this game and appreciate aspects that made it truly unique. While there are aspects of the game that have not aged well, the combat system and audio quality and graphics for example haven't aged especially well. but the HD treatment has truly breathed new life into this title. And in the grand scheme of things? This is a relatively minor gripe. The world of Adelpha possesses rich lore, a compelling story which are exposed organically varied environments from snowy mountain tops to arid deserts and lush grasslands All of which put plenty of modern titles to shame. I'd recommend this to anyone who wishes to get a taste of how open world games got started and anyone who wishes to revisit the world for old time's sake.
