!!not sure if i get to include everything. spoiler alerts btw. (setting aside the amazing performances by every actor in this film) the movie, while the concept is great, is underwhelming. and so boring. the starting scene (the one where we see Diana as a child) is forgettable as the movie goes on. it's like it didnt really serve much purpose. it looks like it was only shot for the sake of trailers. while the last act of that scene pays off in the end of the film (winning/being powerful through lack of humility), it still is forgettable considering how the film was quite longwinded. the foreshadowing of the main villain and cheetah were set up nicely. to me, it was just strange to see the descent of barbara by getting darker eye makeup. well it's fine, it's a superhero movie after all haha i just personally thought that it was such a huge cliche. i know the film is very accurate to the comics, which is nice, but i think they could have made barbara a less stereotypical "no one cares about me because im awkward and i have messy hair and eyeglasses" kinda character. diana using asteria's (?) armour felt a bit.. pointless? i know that it may be a symbolism of diana's growth and transformation but the execution and short-lived fight scenes of it made it look like a pointless costume change. steve possessing a stranger's body is so strange!! they had coitus with that stranger's body and then by the end of the film we see diana and the Handsome Guy talk to each other with a considerably flirtatious vibe. i was incredibly disappointed with the fact that they didnt delve into the moral dillema of this situation considering how WW movies usually end on a good moral note. Wonder Woman (2017) is an absolutely amazing film and it's literally the first film that managed to make me shed tears in awe of the raw yet delicate power a woman can have. so, seeing this sequel was just a tad disappointing. surely it was fun to watch but objectively it's weak. genuinely surprised that people in these reviews are giving it a very high score.
