This show is all over the place -- I'm not sure it knows what it wants to be. Early spoiler from start of Episode One: You're so danged smart to build projects for other students in schools and you don't throw your own school a bone to check the boxes and get your degree? It's sort of ridiculous -- she's supposed to be smart and street savvy, knowing that she needs the degrees to get into the big game because she knows the advantages money brought Tony. They undersold her huge by having her fiddle it away. And then she gets even stupider. And they continue to undersell her aptitude, intelligence, and street smarts again and again throughout the series. It feels like they were making her make stupid decisions, ideally against her character's mindset, just to give the show a reason to have a plot. Ironheart is a great character. This, however, is a poor tribute to that great character.

This wasn't just a Godzilla monster movie, it was a very moving film with deeply developed, well acted characters that just happened to have a wonderfully monstrous version of Godzilla in it.

This had the fun of the first Suicide Squad with some actual interesting dialog and actual character depth. Much better recovery from the original Suicide Squad, and James Gunn proves why he is the master of the superhero genre.

How are all of these people giving it 4 and 5 stars? It was a confusing, poorly adapted turd in a bucket. The non-linear storyline degraded any chances for character development, they had little in the way of characters having discussions and more in the range of characters saying things at each other. The vision of Vegas and Colorado were completely out of sync with the necessities of their novel. The world ends, there's less than 1% of the population, and you're trying to organize a *SCHOOL* and worrying about a 30-man police-watch force? Geesh, people, get your heads on. And Vegas having 24/7 battle to the death matches and huge hedonistic displays when Flagg was scaling it up to become a military power? Flagg was against drug use and self-destructive behaviors (these were his pawns, keep in mind, he wanted them controlled and useful as tools against Boulder). The nature of Vegas completely undid that. This production was so far outclassed by the currently out of date 1994 version that it was literally laughable. No dialog, only cool stances and glances and strangely timed dances.
