Everything that rolls out of that garage is straight garbage. Every time they do a close up of a build you can see poor craftsmanship from bad welds to orange peel paint to wiring connections made with electric tape. Painting a "show quality " car for a magazine cover in an open shop? Really? Sticker logos instead of paint for a cover car? You can see the rusty inside of the door before they put the door panel on. You can see body lines not matching up. The cover car is garbage. When driving the 82 Blazer you can see the back bumper shaking so bad it looks ready to fall off along with one of the light bars on the front. Every car has noticeable flaws that are easy to spot in the few seconds they show the car. Just imagine how bad they look close up. Mark bad mouths kit cars but that's all his concept car was, an ugly kit car. If anyone thinks a top quality build is being done by 4 people in a couple of weeks they're completely unaware of the work involved in building cars. Mark is always talking about his creativity but they slap cobwebs on every single build. If you want to see real cars being built watch Kindig-it Designs, they're building automotive works of art not the shade tree garbage car masters are.

I really wanted to like this show. I'm a fan of Rob Lowe and was hoping for a show I could enjoy, but I was let down. It was as if they had a group of 6 or 7 writers just trying to out do each other. Cliche after cliche. Going around the country to hire firefighters that cover every possible minority, except for the white guy, he just has PTSD, we also get the opioid epidemic covered. We get blatant racism but written in the most ridiculous way. We get low IQ 911 call scenes like a baby ejected from a rolling car only to land 20 feet up in a tree unscathed. We get a delivery guy using mercury to poison people because "they never tip". We get corny representations of Texans with line dancing, bad accents and cowboy hats. The city slicker can line dance AND ride a horse but can't drive into Texas from NY without going hundreds of miles out of the way. The idea that only a guy from NY can go and build diversity in Texas is ridiculous and insulting. The decent cast is up against it with the horrible writing.
