Sorry, but it wasnโt Star Wars. Mark Hamill himself even hated the way they made Luke in this movie, which was a grumpy old man who thought everything he previously believed in should die. The reason Rise of Skywalker was so fast-paced was because JJ Abrams had to fix all of the mistakes that were made in the Last Jedi, such as Luke being a lazy and grumpy old man, and the fact that Reyโs parents were no one.
